Breezy Point Appoints a New Councilman

The Breezy Point City Council has accepted the resignation of one council member, and quickly moved to appoint a new one. Peter Sauer submitted his resignation effective immediately. He said "Extensive travel and a heavy schedule" resulted in a "Hasty move." The Council Monday night appointed Tom Nelson to fill out the remainder of the term, which runs through the end of this year. Nelson is the Fire Chief of Pequot Lakes, which serves Breezy Point.
